Most recently Simon has been honored with the Beijing Pop Music Ceremony Golden Song Award for his song Half a World Away (Float Subway) with Supergirl winner Li Yuchun. Simon was the singer and writer behind indie band 'Velveteen' and has since become one of the hottest new properties in the U.K. by writing for acts such as Westlife, Echo and the Bunnymen, solo projects for Blue, Busted and U.S Pop Idol. He was part of the team that Developed international sensation, Sandi Thom. His work with John McLaughlin has spawned many top ten hits and continues to create acts signed to major labels.
