Ric Arboit is the President of Nettwerk Productions, and one of four founders of the Nettwerk Music Group. Arboit’s music-industry career began in 1980, when he founded Public Eye Sound while also serving as an assistant engineer at Vancouver’s famed Mushroom Studios. By 1984, Arboit had moved into the touring world, and was a tour manager, fount of house engineer, and studio engineer for bands such as No Means No, Images In Vogue, Skinny Puppy and the Grapes of Wrath, the latter two who would later become staples on the Nettwerk roster. In 1986, Arboit joined into the Nettwerk fold where he has handled A&R duties and been the Vice President of Operations, prior to his current title of President of Nettwerk Productions.
Today, Arboit is responsible for the day-to-day activities of Nettwerk Productions including marketing and financial functions, as well as maintaining a hands-on role with the business strategy and decision making for Nettwerk Productions and the Nettwerk Music Group as a whole.
Arboit plays an active role in the music industry at large, including a 10-year tenure as a Director with FACTOR, as well as serving on the Board of Directors for CIRPA and CARAS. Presently, Arboit serves as a board member for Radio Starmaker.
