New Signing: Xavier Rudd

Nettwerk Music Group is thrilled to announce the signing of Australia’s multi-instrumentalist Xavier Rudd to its label roster.

"It’s very exciting to have the opportunity to work with an artist whose musical and spiritual values match that of my own. We look forward to helping Xavier get his message out,” says CEO of Nettwerk Music Group, Terry McBride.

On March 17, Rudd will release Nanna, a career-defining album that puts the once solo artist on his feet, playing guitar center stage, as he fronts Xavier Rudd & The United Nations - a one-people musical force. In the past, Rudd’s onstage one-man-band setup included a half-dozen guitar choices, three didgeridoos and various styles of native drum. With the release of Nanna, Rudd explores the next chapter in his extensive career...the role of frontman, amidst some of the best players in the world. Featuring guitar, bass, drums, percussion, keys, horns, flute and backing vocals, the aptly titled Xavier Rudd & The United Nations brings together musicians from all corners of the globe, representing the diverse cultures of Australia, Indigenous Australia, South Africa, Samoa, Germany and Papua New Guinea. The band is symbolic of the message that all people of the world can come together, respect the ancient ways and return to spirit.

"This is an important year on many levels. I'm excited to be working with Nettwerk in bringing this special album to the world; an album that's been a long, long time coming,” says Rudd.

Family Of The Year Share New Music Video For "Hero" From 'Boyhood,' By Richard Linklater

Family Of The Year partnered with BuzzFeed to shares the new music video for the band’s standout track "Hero." Featured in the Oscar-nominated, Golden Globe winning film Boyhood, the film trailer and the official soundtrack, “Hero” has been cut to footage from the groundbreaking masterpiece to create an official music video that represents the power of both the film and the song. Joe Keefe (lead vocals, guitars) recently sat down with the New York Post to discuss the song, the band and their relationship to the film.

With their Billboard radio chart debut, Family Of The Year saw "Hero" reach #1 on the Triple A Top 30 Radio Chart, sitting Top 5 for a record-breaking four months. “Hero” also landed Top 10 at Alternative Radio. With the release of Loma Vista, Family Of The Year performed “Hero” on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, CONAN and Last Call With Carson Daly. Also, MTV2 added Family Of The Year to “Artist To Watch” and USA Today featured the band in their “On The Verge” column. All this follows other emerging artist features with Entertainment Weekly, Billboard, Amazon, Interview Magazine, Paste, SonicBids and more. New Signing: ARCHIS

Nettwerk Records is pleased to announce the signing of ARCHIS, the artistic pairing of singer/songwriter Dia Frampton and Joseph Trapanese, a film composer and conductor known for his collaborations with Daft Punk on the Tron score and M83 on the score for Oblivion, as well as arrangements for artists like Kelly Clarkson, Active Child and Zedd.

Other artists have performed their albums with the backing of a symphonic orchestra, but few have written songs with the sole intent to merge the rich, textured instrumentation of horns and strings to pop vocals. The initial product of this novel concept, a self-titled, six-song EP to be released by Nettwerk Records on February 23, starts off with “Blood,” a declaration of intent for Frampton, who has already experienced a lifetime in the music business, but is finally feeling the personal fulfillment of doing what she wants.

Dispatch To Return To Madison Square Garden

MSG Entertainment announced today that DISPATCH, joined by special guest the John Butler Trio, will return to the stage at Madison Square Garden on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 8:00PM for “DISPATCH: HUNGER,” an event geared to shine a light on the issue of hunger in the United States. DISPATCH made their Madison Square Garden debut in 2007 for a similar event, “DISPATCH: ZIMBABWE,” where they became the first independent band in history to not only headline the legendary venue, but also sell out three consecutive nights. This year, a limited time Chase Advance Ticket sale will be available for Chase credit or debit purchases starting Friday, January 16, 2015 at 12:00PM through Thursday, January 22, 2015 at 10:00PM while supplies last. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, January 23, 2015 at 12:00PM. Madison Square Garden will be the only place to see DISPATCH in North America in 2015.

DISPATCH members Brad Corrigan, Chad Stokes and Pete Francis met in college, formed a band, and with no radio airplay, major-label support, or significant press coverage, quickly became one of the biggest draws on the live music scene. Though DISPATCH hadn’t released a full-length album since 2000 and officially called it quits in 2004, their music continued to capture the hearts and minds of new generations of rock fans through pure word-of-mouth.
