Andy Hill

Andy Hill is an award winning songwriter and record producer. His first hit was 1981’s Eurovision Song Contest winner “Making Your Mind Up,” recorded by Bucks Fizz. His most recent was the UK No 5 hit “Walks Like Rihanna,” recorded by The Wanted. In the intervening years Andy has written for artists including Diana Ross, Cher, Cliff Richard, Westlife, Boyzone, Four Seasons, Leo Sayer, Susan Boyle, Queen, Peter Cetera, Il Divo, Bette Midler, The Sisters Of Mercy, and Ronan Keating. His song for Celine Dion “Think Twice,” was Number 1 in numerous countries (including the UK), sold more than one million copies and topped the chart for seven weeks. Andy’s co-writers include Gary Barlow, Wayne Hector, Albert Hammond, Peter Sinfield and, recently Norwegian duo, Electric. His songs have sampled by many different artists, including Eminem. Among the many awards Andy has received over the years, the most treasured are his three Ivor Novello Awards. Andy has been nominated seven times and has twice won the award for Best Song Musically and Lyrically and was also named Songwriter of the Year. Andy has songs featured on current chart albums by The Wanted and Boyzone.
