Angela Galuppo

An accomplished singer, songwriter, actor and voice actor, Angela Galuppo has been working in the arts for over 20 years. Recipient of the 2007 Dr. Oscar Peterson jazz scholarship, she is a graduate of Concordia University's music program. In 2011 she wrote and released her debut album Second Nature with her jazz/pop inspired band St. Ange, grabbing the attention of renowned Montreal label, Justin Time. She was signed and in October 2013 their partnership resulted in Angela Galuppo, a solo jazz album, taking her as far afield as Tokyo to perform and eventually earned a nomination for the 2015 JUNO awards for Vocal Jazz Album of the Year.

She has lent her voice to a multitude of cartoons, video games and radio commercials and was nominated for a 2011 ACTRA award for Outstanding Voice Performance. Most recently, she voiced the roles of Luke and Lucy in Carpe Diem’s 3D animated movie La Guerre des Tuques and plays the title role in the upcoming animated series Mia. Her on screen highlights include roles in X-Men: Days of Future Past, the SyFy Network series Being Human and A&E's cop drama Against the Wall.

As busy as she is, Angela still finds time to perform live theatre. Due to popular demand, she often reprises her role as starlet, Laura Thornton, in the edgy musical comedy hit In the Mood for Jazz, featuring some of Montreal's finest actors and musicians.
