Family Of The Year's "Hero" Certified Gold By Music Canada

Hit single "Hero" from Family Of The Year is officially certified Gold by Music Canada. The single reached #61 on the Billboard Hot 100, #57 on the Hot Digital Tracks chart and boasts more than 3 million views on Youtube.

While at radio, “Hero” peaked at #18 at Alternative Rock, #33 at AC and #42 at Top 40. Internationally, "Hero" reached the Billboard Top 10 in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and continues to spread in Europe, while in the United States, it has sold over 148,000 digital tracks and reached #1 at Triple A and Top 10 at Alternative radio formats. Nettwerk Music Group's Mark Jowett (VP of International A&R/Publishing), Dan Fraser (President) and Lexani Llaguno (Director of Canadian Marketing) recently presented Family Of The Year with a Gold plaque commemorating over 40,000 singles sold.

With their first headline tour of 2013, the band sold out shows across North America, including Vancouver, Edmonton, Toronto, Quebec City, Montreal, New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, Portland, Nashville and more. In the past, the band has had support stints with Mumford & Sons, Walk The Moon, Grouplove, Good Old War, Belle Brigade, Milo Green, Atlas Genius and others. In the coming weeks the band will head to Europe for dates with Phoenix, Imagine Dragons and HAIM.

Formed in 2009, Family Of The Year is Joe Keefe (lead vocals, guitars), Sebastian Keefe (drums, vocals), James Buckey (guitars, vocals) and Christina Schroeter (keyboards, vocals).
