Nettwerk Music Group Signs Brooklyn's Ghost Beach; Band Shares "Moon Over Japan" From Forthcoming Debut Album

Nettwerk Music Group is pleased to announce the signing of Brooklyn’s Ghost Beach to its worldwide label roster.

With their self-titled debut EP and follow-up EP Modern Tongues, Ghost Beach has set the Internet ablaze with consistent number ones on Hype Machine. Formed in 2012, the duo of Josh Ocean and Eric “Doc” Mendelsohn have already perfected a blend of retro and futuristic soaring synth pop that can best be described as Tropical Grit Pop.

Partnering with Consequence Of Sound, Ghost Beach serve up the animated music video for “Moon Over Japan,” taken from their forthcoming debut album. Visualized by Swedish animator/designer Lil Jonna (Future FM), the stylish video is a fun take on love in the Internet age.

With upbeat anthems and a preference for '80s synth, the band left their mark at this year's SXSW, performing at several showcases - Pandora’s Discover Den, Neon Gold and All Things Go + Indie Shuffle - alongside artists like The 1975, Robert DeLong, The Neighbourhood and Youngblood Hawke.

Ghost Beach is the latest addition to Nettwerk’s expanding label roster, which includes artists like Family Of The Year, BOY, Passenger, Ladytron, Savoir Adore, Peter Murphy, Angus & Julia Stone, The Pack A.D. and Morgan Page, as well as catalogue artists like Old Crow Medicine Show, The Weepies, The Submarines and fun.

Stay tuned for more information re their upcoming debut release on Nettwerk Records.
