Passenger Chosen As VH1 "You Oughta Know" Artist; Late Night TV Debut Set For July 12 On The Tonight Show With Jay Leno

Following the international success of single “Let Her Go,” Passenger (Mike Rosenberg) has been chosen by VH1 as their August “You Oughta Know” Artist, a franchise that has helped break countless artists like Adele, Mumford & Sons, Ed Sheeran, Gotye and more. The news comes just days prior to the launch of his North American headline tour in Vancouver on Wednesday, July 10. Passenger will then head down to Los Angeles where he’ll make his late night television debut on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno this Friday, July 12.

Having already reached #1 in 14 countries, gone Platinum in the UK and sold over 2 million copies worldwide, “Let Her Go” is now making waves at North American radio. In the U.S., Hot AC adds are coming in weekly, including 104.3 MYFM (LA), Fresh 102.7 (NYC), Mix 104.1 (Boston), Alice@97.3 (San Francisco), Mix 96.5 (Houston) and various SiriusXM stations (The Pulse and 20 On 20). In Canada, the song has been added to AC & Hot AC stations 104.9 CHUMFM and 99.9 Virgin (Toronto), 92.5 The Beat (Montreal), 102.7 The Peak (Vancouver) and the ROUGE FM network throughout Quebec. The music video for “Let Her Go” has reached over 60 million YouTube views, and the song is now seeing North American combined digital sales of nearly 14,000 tracks a week.

More than half of Passenger’s summer tour dates have already sold out, including Los Angeles, New York City, Chicago, San Francisco, San Diego, Denver, Seattle, Portland, Minneapolis, Columbus, Atlanta, Orlando and all three Canadian shows. The Boston date on August 20 sold-out so quickly that he was forced to upgrade to the Paradise Rock Club.
