Radical Face Shares New Video For "Holy Branches"

"Ben Cooper is more than just a musician: he’s a storyteller, and a good one at that. "
- Paste Magazine

"It’s selling Ben Cooper a bit short to call him a songwriter — the Florida-based artist known as Radical Face is more of a musical mythologist." - Buzzbands.la

"[‘Holy Branches’] begins simply enough, using quiet instrumentation and relying on the easy loveliness of Ben Cooper's voice. By the time the additional instrumentation kicks in behind him, it becomes a full fledged alt-folk anthem." - The Wild Honey Pie

“This guy isn’t just a musician and songwriter, he is a storyteller, tale-spinner, and an artist at making you feel a certain way with just a chord or well-placed line…" - Allston Pudding

"In classic RF fashion, this song is beautiful, with gorgeous vocal melodies perfectly expressing Cooper’s elegant lyrics.“ - Under The Gun Review

Ben Cooper, aka Radical Face, has unveiled a new music video for track “Holy Branches” from his recently released album The Family Tree: The Branches, which debuted on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart at #10. Following past tradition, the video, which premiered on influential LA music blog Buzzbands.la, was conceived, directed and produced by Cooper with help from his family and friends.

The Family Tree: The Branches is the second installment of a three-part, stand-alone album series that chronicles a fictitious 19th century family called The Northcotes. Following the first album, 2011’s self-released The Family Tree: The Roots, certain instrumentations and melodies that represent a “family member” reappear on the second album as a continuation of a story or descendent. There is also a progression in production, using instruments that would have been more readily available in this era of the story set from 1860-1910.

“Holy Branches” is the continuation of “Severus And The Stone” from The Roots, which follows the narrative of two brothers, one who lives and one who dies. On “Holy Branches,” the listener is reconnected 30 years later with the living brother and the demons with which he is faced.

Radical Face is currently on tour in the UK and Europe. For all dates, visit: http://on.fb.me/1cGDJws.
