Run River North Return Home To LA For Three December Concerts

This month, Los Angeles-based Run River North have announced a handful of local dates tied to the holiday season. They will be performing a free show in Pasadena this Saturday, December 6th as part of the South Lake Holiday celebration, followed by a sold-out benefit show with the Goo Goo Dolls at The Troubadour on the 15th and a special performance at this year's Grand Park N.Y.E. L.A. bash in downtown LA - Los Angeles’ only free, public, large-scale New Year’s celebration.

For Grand Park N.Y.E. L.A., Run River North will be one of 6 bands across three stages. Event planners are expecting 50,000 attendees, spanning the entire 12-acre Grand Park, as well as adjacent city blocks. Grand Park selected Garson Yu and his Emmy award-winning design agency yU+co. to create an evening of interactive multimedia content that transforms the park into an audiovisual playground. This year’s spectacular will represent the tallest interactive sound display, culminating in a 10-minute countdown narrative that relays a story centered on “the heartbeat of Los Angeles,” featuring L.A. landmarks, as well as aspects of L.A. life that unite its many communities.

It has been a stellar year for the group - they released their self-titled Phil Ek produced debut in February which landed at #3 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart and have been on the road selling out shows, including The Troubadour (2x), Amoeba Hollywood and The Bowery in NYC. The sextet recently returned to California after wrapping a national fall tour with Australia’s Boy & Bear. They have been featured on VH-1 "Big Morning Buzz," CMT's "Country Concrete," The Wall Street Journal, Last Call With Carson Daly, NPR Here & Now, NPR Weekend Edition with Scott Simon, PBS Artbound, Daytrotter, KCET "Studio A" music series and Acoustic Café.
