Jon Bryant Returns With Summertime Groove "Candied Tangerines"

Alternative singer/songwriter Jon Bryant returns with a soulful, summertime groove called “Candied Tangerines,” the first new music from his upcoming release, details TBA. The song was inspired by Jon’s visit to Los Angeles’ historic Sportsmen’s Lodge for one of their weekly, iconic poolside Sunday Fundays. “It was as though all of old Hollywood was there,” he says. “Drank margs with some silver foxes til my face was pink. I had a lovely time making new friends and lazily going about the day with my newfound 50+ crew.” The song comes with a playful video to match its vibe.

The Vancouver-based artist picks up the threads of formative influences such as R&B and folk while at the same time reaching a new level of understanding and empathy as evidenced in the song writing in his latest releases: 2019’s full-length album Cult Classic (written in the aftermath of leaving the NXIVM cult), 2020’s Half Bad EP, and 2021’s Back To Love EP. His songs have resonated with fans far and wide and generated over 72 million worldwide streams highlighted by singles “At Home,” “Paradise,” “Cultivated,” “Did What I Did” and “Ya Ya Ya Ya.” Along the way, he garnered acclaim from Atwood Magazine, Tone Deaf, Exclaim!, and more in addition to appearing on the podcast Stuff They Don’t Want You To Know and q: The Podcast From CBC RadioOne syndicated via NPR.
