State Radio Launches 4th Annual Halloween 5K; Shares New Single, "Take Cover"
State Radio is heading back to Northampton, MA on October 26th and 27th for the Calling All Crows' 4th Annual Northampton Halloween Weekend. As part of the announcement, State Radio shares “Take Cover,” the latest single from their forthcoming studio album, Rabbit Inn Rebellion (Fall 2012).
The weekend starts when Chad Urmston (Dispatch, Chadwick Stokes) takes the stage for a solo acoustic set at The Iron Horse Music Hall and continues the next night with State Radio at Calvin Theater.
The weekend of music wouldn’t be complete without the CAC Northampton Halloween 5K. On October 27th, State Radio fans and Calling All Crows supporters take to the streets of downtown - in costume - for a fun walk/run to support CAC’s new marriage equality campaign. Proceeds from this year’s race will go to support Human Rights. Civil Rights. RIGHT NOW!

In it’s fourth year, the event has raised over $65,000 with contributions and participation growing each year. Last year’s Halloween 5K was a key fundraiser for Calling All Crows’ efforts to support Afghan women with shelter and education for one year.
Led by Chad, State Radio is focused on activism and community. Each song on Rabbit Inn Rebellion has a unique story and "Take Cover" is no different. "Take Cover" is a song about how some people are disconnected from war and their complacency in their ignorance; while touching on the personalized toll of war and how a wife does not recognize her husband's face (emotionally) despite him trying not to let war change him.
In the coming weeks, State Radio will announce a North America tour that will also be in support of Human Rights. Civil Rights. RIGHT NOW! Stay tuned.
