Candian quartet The Trews release their self-titled, Nettwerk debut digitally in the U.S. next Tuesday, April 22, 2014. The album is an electrifying punch of 70s rock with tight vocal harmonies and you can preview the record in full over at Performer Magazine, along with a Q&A on the recording of the record. The Trews is now available for pre-order HERE.
The band will be touring the U.S. for a month-long run of shows starting in Pittsburgh on June 4, hitting the Northeast (Buffalo, Boston, NYC, Philadelphia, DC) and Midwest (Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, Louisville), ending in Toledo on June 28. A full list of tour dates can be found below.
Produced by Gavin Brown (Metric, Billy Talent, The Tragically Hip) and guitarist John-Angus MacDonald (The Trews, The Glorious Sons), The Trews is the band’s maiden release with new label Nettwerk. Blazing lead single "What's Fair Is Fair" is out now on iTunes with the accompanying lyric video on YouTube and stream at Soundcloud - Feel free to post and share.
The Trews have gained a reputation as one of Canada's most intoxicating rock bands. Ten years, five studio albums and thousands of gigs in, they've had 14 Top 10 singles on Rock radio, two Gold Certified albums and received numerous JUNO Award nominations. The PledgeMusic campaign around the album concludes next week and a portion of funds raised supports Cystic Fibrosis Canada in honor of a friend who passed away last year. More info on the campaign can be found HERE.

“What’s Fair Is Fair”
“The songs all creep up on you, rather than being over-the-top. What they will ensure is that you’ll want to go
back and check them out again and again.”
- Malcolm Dome, Classic Rock Magazine
"The Trews' strength is in the hooky rock that dominates the set list... They nimbly balance between commercial pop and tougher rock without falling into either camp.”
- Hal Horowitz, All Music
