Old Crow Medicine Show Sells Over Half A Million Albums!

"Down Home Girl" from Old Crow Medicine Show: Live At The Orange Peel And Tennessee Theatre

Congratulation to Old Crow Medicine Showwho as of today have sold over 500,000 albums over the course of their career, which started over ten years ago with five musicians traveling city to city in a van and busking in the streets, eventually playing in front of a local pharmacy to an impressed Doc Watson who promptly scheduled the band to play at his MerleFest.

The band joined Nettwerk in 2004 and released O.C.M.S., which features top-selling track (and the one Mumford & Sons love to cover!) "Wagon Wheel."  Since then, the band has released Big Iron World (2006) and Tennessee Pusher (2008), as well as various EPs and their first ever live concert DVD called Live At The Orange Peel And Tennessee Theatre (2009).

Old Crow continues to put on a live show second to none. They just recently sold out London's Troxy Theatre (over 2,600 fans) and were joined by special guests Mumford & Sons, John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin), Gillian Welch and Dave Rawlings.  A favorite of Garrison Keillor's, the band was also invited to appear on a very special episode of A Prairie Home Companion last week, which aired live in HD from St. Paul, MN to over 500 movie theatres across N. America.
