Nettwerk

Nettwerk Music Group (Nettwerk) announced today that it has acquired Robot of the Century Music, an independent music publisher founded out of Roadrunner Records, the pre-eminent worldwide rock label, by its former chairman Cees Wessels.

Under the acquisition, Nettwerk’s teams throughout North America and Europe will work directly with the songwriters on the Robot of the Century roster, which includes such marquee rock artists/songwriters as Young The Giant, Black Stone Cherry, Jesse Leach (of Killswitch Engage) and Trivium.

Nettwerk President/COO Simon Mortimer-Lamb says, “We are very excited to welcome the Robot of the Century roster of artists and songwriters to Nettwerk. They have established themselves as some of the best in their genre and have achieved a global reach. We look forward to utilizing our teams throughout the world to ensure their continued growth and success.”

Douglas Keogh, President of Robot of the Century, adds, "The artists of Robot of the Century, carrying the legacy of Roadrunner Records, have a new home with Nettwerk that shares the same foundation for success: hands-on ownership, self-determination, teamwork and vision. As Nettwerk further establishes its global strategy and embraces growth in their roster and repertoire, these artists will enjoy a new team with the same core values that helped launch their careers. Onward and upward!"

Nettwerk has seen strategic growth across its label, management and publishing divisions over the past 12 months, with the addition of a Nashville office, a joint venture with Los Angeles-based 1916 Management and most recently, the 50% acquisition and go-forward publishing joint venture with Ten Ten Music Group. The current Nettwerk roster includes such internationally acclaimed artists as Passenger, Family of the Year, fun., Guster, Wanting, Sinead O’Connor, Perfume Genius, Stereophonics, Olafur Arnalds and Chromeo, as well as sought after songwriters like Neil Mason, Jesse Jo Dillon and Andy Hill.
