Guster Album Out Today! Sold-out Record Release Show At Brooklyn's Rough Trade

"successfully updated sound... with just the right amount of synthesized ambience, clever percussion, unexpected addenda and a touch of old-school rock” – The Wall Street Journal

"dark edge and brooding sense of romance” - Vice Noisey

"From twin acoustic guitars and bongos to the frantic beats and crawling synthesizers heard on the track." – TIME

“[Guster] delivers a new, more mature sound, yet retains a melodic quality and sexy vibe” – KCRW “Top Tune”

"Winsome" – USA Today

“Dynamic” – Mashable

Today, Guster release their latest studio album, Evermotion, via Nettwerk/Ocho Mule. The album, produced by The Shins’ keyboardist and The Black Keys’ touring bassist Richard Swift, offers up the quartet’s most experimental instrumentation and layered arrangements to date. Evermotion is now streaming in full via Spotify.

This week, Boston’s mayor Marty Walsh declares January 15 “Guster Day” in honor of the band’s local roots where they formed as Tufts freshmen, along with their commitment to the environment and public service. On the 15th, the band will perform busking sets at various undisclosed locations around Boston, concluding with a performance at the Greenovate Boston 2014 Climate Action Plan Launch Celebration at the Artists For Humanity’s EpiCenter.

Guster kicks off their North American tour with a sold-out album release show tonight at Brooklyn’s Rough Trade. Following dates will feature opener Kishi Bashi. Along their tour route, the band will host a pot jam in Denver on January 18 – a group hang with fans, with pot provided by Sweet Leaf.
