Los Angeles-based Run River North will join Boy & Bear during their North American Fall dates, following an already announced Summer headline tour.

To support the Summer dates, Run River North recently sat down with the nationally syndicated radio show Acoustic Café for an interview and performance. This follows an already stellar debut year, which includes performances with VH-1 "Big Morning Buzz," CMT's "Country Concrete," The Wall Street Journal, Last Call With Carson Daly, NPR Here & Now, NPR Weekend Edition with Scott Simon, PBS Artbound, Daytrotter, KCET "Studio A" music series, the aforementioned Amoeba Hollywood and Lexus: Music Uncovered, a CBS pre-Grammy special exploring Los Angeles hot spots and up and coming bands. They also premiered their first official music video for lead single “Fight To Keep” on TeamCoco, the official website of Conan.

Prior to getting a record deal, the band recorded and filmed a viral video for “Fight To Keep” in their Hondas using GoPro cameras. The video experiment led to a Jimmy Kimmel Live! performance and a Bronze Lion Award at Cannes Film Festival. Run River North returns with an equally brilliant video using the same cameras for “Excuses” from their self-titled debut.

Check out the recent video for “Excuses” Here:

Recorded with record producer Phil Ek (Band Of Horses, Fleet Foxes, Built To Spill, The Shins), Run River North deals with themes of hope, struggle and identity. Debuting on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart at #3, the overlap of Asian and American folk is subtle, reflecting the hyphenated existence of the band members.

CRITICAL PRAISE:

“Run River North stays the course – and finds success” – NPR “Weekend Edition”

“Snappy rock and chamber folk frames their tales of their parents' dreams and struggles to find purchase in America." – Wall Street Journal

“Run River North is the next Arcade Fire” – American Way Magazine (American Airlines)

“With thoughtful songwriting and appealing melodies, Run River North is a bright spot...with their tight harmonies and undeniable energy.” - CMT

"this irrepressible effort come across as so exuberant, so effusive, so infused with freewheeling enthusiasm, that any attempt to typecast them inevitably comes up short. Veering from a quiet pluck to resounding refrains, the band catches fire each time out…" -- No Depression
