When you think of modern alternative rock and punk music, there is perhaps no producer who has done more to define the genre than Mark Trombino. Trombino started his musical career drumming for Night Soil Man and later in the highly influential Drive Like Jehu. But soon found himself spending more and more time in the studio producing and mixing for other artists. A native to Southern California, Mark found himself working with the influential bands of the SoCal scene including Blink-182, The Hippos, Jebediah and the band with which he hit his stride, Jimmy Eat World. His work with Jimmy Eat World on the massively influential album Clarity, and later the band’s multi-platinum smash Bleed American are sited as albums that helped create the “Emo” rock sound. Today, Trombino resides in Los Angeles where he operates his own mix studio and continues his successful career working with both established and emerging artists.
